CASTLE Camp is a project of the Lviv Regional Youth Center designed to empower youth through learning English in a non formal and critical thinking environment.

Building futures since 2017
Katherine Fitch, an American Peace Corps volunteer and a graduate of Indiana Western University, came to Ukraine in 2016 and began working with the Lviv Regional Youth Center (LRYC) as a youth development volunteer. In 2017 she aided the LRYC in organizing the first ever CASTLE camp which was held in . After the initial success of the camp, the LRYC has expanded the reach of CASTLE Camp by introducing mini-camps in the winter and spring. Since its induction, CASTLE Camp has empowered approximately 30 Ukrainian counselors, 5 Junior Directors, and 110 campers.

Born in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, surrounded by mountains,
I graduated from Ivan Franko University of Lviv with the specialty of Translation Studies. Whenever I have free time, I enjoy travelling, playing guitar or hanging out with friends. I am excited to be a part of CASTLE Camp for the third year, because, I like to organize projects, which help young people find success.

I’m Vika. I’m one of the directors of Castle camp.I was a camper and a counselor at Castle camp. I’ve been volunteering at Lviv Regional Youth Center. I’m keen on traveling, psychology, dancing and languages (teaching and learning). Meeting new people, self-improvement and getting new experience is really exciting and important to me.

I’m Katherine and I’m 22 years old.
My passion is a dancing and I work as a choreographer at the dance studio. Also I’m study manager at international IT teen accelerator Ampli and I really like my job.

My name is Yura. I am 18 years old. I study computer science in Ternopil and work there (in Ternopil), although I come from Zolochev. I have been a participant twice in CASTLE camp and this year I want to try myself as a young councelor.

I am Ioanna, a kid from a southern city of the endless sun - Mykolaiv.
I am a keen traveler and have visited all Ukrainian regions but one. Railway feels like home to me and I can spend hours on end gazing at the skies and fields.
Music is another thing to make me feel alive.
When I was younger, I used to be keen on learning languages, and now I want to share that joy with the campers.
I expect this camp to be a remarkable and fruitful summer adventure and I'm looking forward to having a marvelous time with you!
